Review of the new GTD System CDs

Avid GTD’er Barb wanted to share her experience and review of the CDs that come with the new GTD System.  She wrote:

If you’re fairly new or brand new to GTD: This product is definitely for you. It is much easier to understand than reading the book might be because there are stories to explain various points. Also, from what I can see, the 3-cd set called “Three Days to Clarity” is a quick start to the system. If you read the book and implemented without a seminar or any other materials: Regardless of how long you’ve been GTD-ing, you WILL get value from each and every CD.

If you’ve been using GTD 5 years or more, have used multiple tools to learn: This is the category that I fall into. I’ve got every audio program, have read all the books multiple times, have had telecoaching with Meg, and I’m a long-time GTD Connect member. I bought it just for “nuggets” of information..something new, something old said in a different way, something to jog some new ideas. It was worth the money to me.

Many of you have been curious if the content on the CDs is new. Yes, 5 out of 6 CDs have brand new content from David and his senior coaching staff.  The only one that is not new content is a CD with Coach Meg Edwards walking you through a Guided GTD Weekly Review. It’s such a popular feature in our Weekly Review CD set that it was included in this new CD package as well.

  1. I purchased the GTD System and have to say it was well worth the money spent. I’m truly a newbie when it comes to GTD. I’m just getting started. The 3 days to clarity really helped me understand how to get going. Hearing David, Marian and Meg’s take on Collect, Process, Organize, Review and Do was extremely helpful. So if anyone is on the fence about purchasing this product. Rest assured that it will be helpful.
Thanks to the Davidco team for putting such a great product together.

  2. Update: Since I wrote the review above, I have now listened to all of the cds. While the “3 days to clarity” piece is certainly targeted toward newbies, I found I picked up nuggets of good stuff from them too.

I don’t see how anyone…regardless of where they are in the process of “getting GTD”…could miss with this set.

  3. I totally agree with the comments. I bought the system prior to it being included on the David Allen website and find it extremely worthwhile.
