  • Keeping track of contacts in Mac OS X

Check out a couple of recent blog postings at http://ekive.com/blog.

There is the code for a time/date stamp in AppleScript. This can be used to paste a time/date stamp in to the notes area of your Mac OS X Address Book in a consistent format. The blog couples this time/date stamp with an Address Book Smart Group to provide a dynamic list of recent contacts.

I find this a great way to keep track of current contacts. I just go in to the Smart Group filter and change the date range that is checked for.

The other post gives some suggestions for simplifying the Script Menu and for naming your most popular scripts so that they are bubbled to the top of the list of scripts - thereby saving some mouse movement.
