  • ResultsManager & Filofax interface

    Hello,

Having committed to the Mindmanager/Resultsmanger solution, I am faced with having to suspend its use away from my office while my laptop undergoes a security upgrade. My interim solution is to revert to implementing GTD on a Filofax, but I am in a bit of a quandry as to whether or not to move fully across to paper-based GTD or simply take my lists of next actions & waiting fors across to my filofax while I am remote from the office.

Any pointers or suggestions will be gratefully received.

    Thanks

    Ritchie

    Ritchie:

You could move completely to your Filofax, or you could just print your lists and hole punch them into your FF short term for the portability benefit while you're PC is AWOL.

When I was using paper, I would print my lists and insert them into my binder. It worked okay, really.

      GTD Filofax

Please see the entry in my blog at http://parker.typepad.com/gtd/2006/12/my_gtd.html

I've moved on a bit since then to using MindManager to manage my lists.

        A Way Forward

        Thanks for this, David.

I am settling on using my Mindmanager app. at the office and home to sort out my next actions list which I can print and take away with me. I capture any new items onto small post-its, which I can then sort into my travelling context and projects lists in my A5 Filofax. I replaced my diary with a day per page to enable me to list appointments and actions on view in the same page. Early days, though.

        Thanks

        Ritchie
