  • From thinkingrock to palm, any suggestions?

From an avid user of thinkingrock, I've now decided to switch to palm. But before doing so, I've decided to switch to paper first. I used to use paper before moving on to thinkingrock, so I'm familiar with paper. The reason of switching back to paper first is so that I could unhook myself from the convenience of linking projects to actions. Although I've learned some palm applications provide the link functionality… I'm still undecided if I do want the functionality or not...

I decided to abandon thinkingrock because of a job change I'm going to have by next year. My new job would require me to spend more time in the shop floor, so I'll be spending less time in front of the pc. And oh yeah, I'll be using palm entirely without synching to PC, because I don't get that much email.

Now, I'm trying to decide whether or not to use plain vanilla approach in setting up my GTD on palm. I likethe functionality of being able to view projects to action link, but I also find it cumbersome for data entry since I need to look for the particular project a specific action need to go to. I'd like to get Palm Z22 because I'd like my palm to be used solely for productivity. So far, I'm still undecided whether to use the palm's built in applications or install 3rd party software such as bonsai, progect, or handyshopper. Any suggestions?

I know you are switching to paper and then to Palm, so what I'm saying here is purely as clarification. You can add single actions in Thinkingrock, they don't need to be linked to a project. (I'm merely a user of Thinkingrock and have no affiliation whatsoever.)

You may want to consider lifebalance - http://www.llamagraphics.com.

You can use the palm alone, or sync with a PC or mac.
