  • GTD Desktop/Online/Mobile

    Hi!

I need GTD software where I can manage my tasks from various locations/systems; if I am at home I usually use my PC, if I am in office I usually use my laptop, if I am traveling I usually use my mobile (SmartPhone) and if I am with friends I would maybe need a online system.

Is there any SINGLE GTD tool allowing to simply manage tasks via all these channels?

I'm in exactly the same situation. On the computers I use Outlook synched to the Exchange server at my work, and synch my mobile directly to the server. Works well enough.

There are a few, but my preference is Nozbe (link in signature).

It lives on the web, so you can access it from any computer. It also has an iPhone app that syncs to everything so you can have your data on the go. If you have a different kind of phone, they have a very nice mobile page to support those.

In my case, I access it from my work desktop, my home desktop, my home laptop and my phone. It works great!

If using the web version can work for you also at home and at office, then try http://www.Gtdagenda.com

The mobile version (with full features) is available at www.gtdagenda.mobi

As you can see from the previous responses, there are several alternatives out there, including one not already mentioned-Toodledo. I've been looking for such a tool lately myself. I'm finding that there is no one tool for everything. Some of my system is paper, some is on my laptop, some on my iPhone. Your action lists can reside in any of these places and be with you wherever you are--depending on your style and needs. I think the key is to just jump in and try something and stick with it for awhile. DA says he can't really know a product for doing GTD without jumping in and using it a good bit. I have also heard Kelly say that one should pick a tool and stick with it for a while rather than jump from tool to tool to tool. All these apps (Nozbe, Toodledo, GTDAgenda, etc.) have their pros and cons. I would suggest you out the web reviews, take them for a test drive (they all offer some trial/free option) and pick one.
