Who can explain: David Allen on TwitterFeb. 24
An overwhelming amount of potential work to do is cool. Otherwise people would never go to a gym.

I personally interpreted that one as there's infinite potential with some things. When are you really "done" with being fit? There's always an opportunity to do more and learn more and that in itself is motivating.

    How did you interpret it?

At first glance I interpret it a hint to the technique of structured procrastination. If going to the gym is "easy" compared to the more daunting tasks on your lists, you will at least go to the gym instead of doing nothing.

Gym helps overcome stress sometimes appearing just from a glance at your list.
