  • Where to find more mind mapping information?

Where can I find more information on mind mapping? There is only a brief mentioning of it in the GTD book, which is not enough for me to get going. Some people seem to recommend Tony Buzan's book since he was first, but is it the best introduction? In other words: If I'm only going to buy one mind mapping book, which should it be?

Actually, there is not *that* much to it.

Although mind mapping is a powerful tool, it is very easy to understand.

    Try this:

    For information.
No need to buy a book.

      Here are some online resources

Here are three good online resources about mind mapping to get you going:

      http://www.mind-map.com/mindmaps_howto.htm

      http://www.thinksmart.com/mission/wo...ing_intro.html

      http://www.innovationtools.com/resou...indmapping.asp

Buzan's "How to Mind Map" is a nice little book - very conceptual and focused on the technique, rather than implementation. I've shared it with a number of friends, especially elementary school teachers, who have found it helpful.

        mochant's First Link

        Marc,

I tried link in your post to www.mind-map.com. It didn't work. I poked around the site, and found the page with mind mapping instructions. It is:

        http://www.mind-map.com/EN/mindmaps/how_to.html

          Scott:

Thanks for posting the actual URL. The shorter link works fine on my PC but it is a redirect to the page you refer to. Some browsers can't handle the redirects as well as other, I guess.

            More links on mind mapping

I'm a member of the Yahoo! Mindjet user group. Andrew Wilcox is a frequent poster there and I swiped this list from his mail signature

            http://www.mindmanuals.com

            http://www.mindplugs.com

            http://www.kutchka.com/

            http://www.mindjet.com/support/sup_add.htm

            http://www.cabrecoaching.com

This last link is Andrew's company. It seemed only fair to give him a plug.
