  • Events that may/may not happen

    My question is that I have several events that I need to notifiy certain people if they happen. For example if a certain batch fails then I need to notify a person in our billing deparment of the failure. Anyone have any good suggestions how to keep those sort of items in the GTD system?

    - this should be a two minute or less item,

    --call or email the details,
    (batch H777 failed 31-mar-02, assigned JDoe)

    then if needed track on your waitingfor list if response is needed.

      I wonder if the action the occurs prior to notifiying billing about the batch failing is what needs to be on a next action list -- for ex., "check quality or status of batch" and then inform billing of status. IMHO, I would be inclined to inform billing of the status or outcome whether the batch failed or not, or at least keeping a record that you checked and it passed even if they don't need to know.Could this go on a check list?

        Putting it on a checklist with the failure notification action item I believe will work great. I was having mental block on that one. Thanks for the help
