  • Scientific American article about motivation that relates to GTD

    http://www.sciam.com/article.cfm?id=...for-motivation

This article talks about two motivation studies. Some subjects were given fitness workouts or cooking instructions written in an easy-to-read font. Others were given the instructions in a complex, difficult-to-read font. People who read the instructions in a clearer font had more positive feelings about the tasks and felt more confident they could achieve them. They were generally more motivated about making the tasks (exercise, cooking) part of their day.

The results reminded me of some pieces of the GTD methodology, specifically about writing next actions out very clearly and labelling your file folders.
