  • I'm using Omnifocus and things with start dates are in the Pending section. I have separated them out separately on my Weekly Review project so I check projects in order.First I check stalled, any that don't have a next action defined. Then I check Pending to make sure that what is coming up still makes...

  • I don't think the automation per se is bad but the implementation might need fine tuning.

For example, Instead of a task mow lawn that repeats weekly. Why not create a project for Summer Lawn Work, with each task related to that on a recurring basis, or even a single list that is set to...

  • Re-reading that is high on my list of TTD, it's actually in the stack of books to read sitting on my desk. Thanks for the additional kick that I might really need it again now.

    Boy is that the truth!

I've been finding that even going from one module...

I can tell you from experience that if I don't do it right then it never gets done. So I'd vote for file right away.

PS If you are resisting filing right away that is a clear sign you need to look at your filing system as it is the problem and not working for you....

No need for either of you to get nasty. However TesTeq is at least partially right. If you job is handling the mail, and you are not doing it, and filing and missing things is an issue there is no way to know what critical and important information you so conveniently swept into a box and labeled without...

  • I'm using the GitHub application on the Mac to do most of my stuff. I tend to get totally lost in the command line so try to find other ways to do stuff when I can. My husband is on Linux and command line all the time so sometimes we don't exactly communicate well.

    My husband found this...

  • What a cool idea! My coding is a work in progress. I do keep all code up on Github so it is in a separate repository. I am not very good at checking out or creating branches like I should for different features as I still don't quite grok Git. My husband uses it a lot so that is why I am using it,...

  • I do disagree with a bit of this. For me, the system that is easy to maintain and update and work from when I am really sick is one that is actually very complex, with lots of software links to bring things to the fore as required. I've done my thinking in advance and all I have to do next is work the...

  • I'll offer several ideas and then tell you what I am doing.

Do you use different development environments for the different codebases? Currently on LambTracker I use both Eclipse and Netbeans for different pieces of the code. So I can sort my contexts into those two options if I choose...

  • Why the (??) on Omnifocus? It's the premier IMO one available for Macintosh systems. Also might want to add what platforms the packages run on. Useful list with that added info.
