  • There are 2 parts to this, scanning and then organizing your files.

    For scanning I suggest a ScanSnap scanner and store things as either DF or searchable PDF files at decent resolution. I have an older model S510M but any of the new ones will be fine. Advnatages are scanning both sides,...

  • I don't use subfolders except in very rare instances on my computer so for me the physical cabinet is just the same. A file drawer (or in my case 16 file drawers in 5 file cabinets) with one layer of manila folders in it labeled with the contents and files A-Z.
